We understand that sometimes you are entrusted with the care of a family member or friend who is elderly or disabled. Structured Family Care enables family members to make caregiving their primary focus. Funded by Medicaid, Family First pays the caregiver a monthly stipend, because we know caregiving is a full-time job! We will also assist caregivers with training, education, guidance, and support in providing the best care to their loved ones at home.
How do I qualify to care for someone?
In order to qualify for Structured Family Care, caregivers must be at least 18 years of age, pass a criminal background check, be able and willing to provide the necessary care, and live in the same home as the client.
Clients must also be 18 years of age and be eligible for Medicaid. Clients must have a medical diagnosis requiring a need for care. Examples of these could be: help with housework, shopping, transportation, dressing, bathing, or other everyday tasks.

A Caregiver Coach will visit you at home to determine if you’re eligible for Structured Family Care and how many weekly hours of care you can receive. You’ll be able to choose your own caregiver like your daughter, son, relative, or friend and we will come to your home to enroll you in the program. Then, you are all set! You’ll receive ongoing care from a person who loves you and they will have peace of mind knowing you are taken care of and they are receiving payment for the care they give.
